Stephen Cracknell

Teacher Effectiveness Training

Stephen Cracknell is the Co-ordinator of Teacher Effectiveness Training (Y6-12) and a Deputy Principal at the Bonville campus of Coffs Harbour Christian Community School.

Stephen is also a qualified Primary School teacher having begun his career at Bradbury Primary School in Campbelltown, NSW. He taught there for 5 very enjoyable years after which he embarked on theological studies at Tahlee Bible College and then Diploma qualifications through the Australian College of Theology. He has a Bachelor of Education (UNE) degree, majoring in Physical Education as well as a Diplomate in Theology (ACT).

Stephen began teaching at Coffs Harbour Christian Community School (K-10) in 1985 at the Curacoa Street campus. He describes his passions quite simply as ‘teaching the Bible and proclaiming the Gospel’; ‘helping teachers to grow in their profession’ and ‘teaching adolescents’. In fact, he states he is most happy when he is actually in the classroom, teaching.

As a result of attending some major educational conferences in Melbourne, Stephen initially piloted a small program in our school to assist teachers to become more ‘effective’ teachers. This program has grown to become a very significant aspect of Coffs Harbour Christian Community School, dedicated to teacher quality improvement.

At the time of writing we are continuing to see major developments in our Teacher Effectiveness Training Program, due mainly to the dedication of the staff.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
